Joyce Dray

Joyce Dray, 79, Medford, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at her residence in the city of Medford under the care of her family and Hope Hospice.

She was born June 20, 1927, in Unity. She attended Abbotsford elementary schools and was a graduate of Abbotsford High School. She was married Nov. 3, 1951, in Abbotsford to Melvin Dray.

She worked most of her life as a housewife and mother. During the 1970’s she worked at Tastee Treat in Medford for a period of time. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, talking, dancing and watching the Packers.

Mrs. Dray is survived by her husband; one daughter, Lynn (Gordon) Jones of Medford; one son, James (Irene) Dray, Medford; five grandchildren; on great granddaughter; two sisters, Lorna Nixdorf and Wilma Lange, both of Abbotsford; two brothers, Len (Evelyn) Colby and Bill (Caroline) Colby, both of Abbotsford.

She was preceded in death by one brother; Don Colby; and one sister in infancy, Hermie Colby; her father William Colby and her mother, Hermie Colby.

Memorial Services were held Sept. 20 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford; the Rev. Grant Brown presided. Interment took place at Abbotsford Public Cemetery, Abbotsford.

The family requests memorials to Hope Hospice of Rib Lake.
