Thurs., 30 March 1939 -----Pagenkopf, Else Martha Julie (6 July 1894 – 25 March 1939) Rites for Mrs. John Pagenkopf were conducted Tuesday, March 28, at 1:30 p.m. at the Jaster Funeral Home and at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rev. William A. Baumann officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery. Else Martha Julie Schlinkert was born July 6, 1894, to Mr. and Mrs. William Schlinkert in the town of Weston, and remained a resident of Clark County the balance of her life. She passed away March 25, 1939, at 3:30 p.m. at the Marshfield Hospital, where she has been a patient since February 15, and the cause of her death being embolism. She attained the age of 44 years, eight months and three days. She was united in marriage to John Pagenkopf November 1, 1916, at St. John’s Lutheran parsonage, the late Rev. H. Brandt officiating. Two children, Theola and Orlin were born to them, the latter dying in infancy. The family lived for a time on a farm in Pine Valley, later moving to Neillsville. Deceased is survived by her husband and daughter, her aged mother, Mrs. Augusta Schlinkert, one sister, Emma, Mrs. Erich Schoenherr, Weston, and four brothers: Fred Schlinkert, Little Falls, Minn.; William, Pine Valley; Robert, Weston, and Theodore, Owen. Pallbearers were: Harry Roehrborn, Robert Bruss, Claude Westphal, Frank Zickert, Jr., Albert Kalsow and Walter Borde. Out-of-town relatives here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Pagenkopf, Milwaukee; Mrs. Simon Noah and son, William, Loyal; Miss Mathilda Schoenherr, Shawano; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Schlinkert and family, Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Lenz, Greenwood. |
