Surname: Karl, Martens, Deal, Mohr, Kopp, Grosaint, Turner, Lloyd, Pretsch Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) Thurs., 13 April 1939 S. W. Pine Valley – Mrs. Joe Karl Clifford Karl helped Elwin Martens saw wood Tuesday. Ed. Deal purchased a team of horses last week. Chris Mohr and Ernest called at the Karl home Monday evening. Quite a few of our neighbors attended the Parker auction last Friday. Rufus Karl and Ted Kopp pulled stakes in the sugar bush this week. Ruth Grosaint spent Easter Sunday at home. Joe Karl bought a horse Monday. Mrs. George Turner helped Mrs. Byno Lloyd paper. Joe Karl and the Lloyd and Pretsch families spent Sunday afternoon at the R. Pretsch home.
