--------- Bradley, Richard E. (9 NOV 1904 - 5 NOV 1937)

Richard Edward Bradley was born Nov. 9, 1904 at Foreston, Minn. At the age of 12 years he came to Spencer, Wis., with his father and sister Doris where they resided on a farm in the town of Unity.

He was graduated from Spencer High School in 1925 and later attended college in Minnesota. He was married to Bethel Newell at Neillsville July 4, 1928 and moved to a farm south of Greenwood where they resided until his death Nov. 5th, at Neillsville after a serious operation.

Mr. and Mrs. Bradley united with the Greenwood Methodist Church in 1930. Mr. Bradley leaves his wife, two small daughters, his father and step-mother, two sisters, (Doris) Mrs. Gantwort of Castlewood, S. D., and (Iris) Mrs. Harris of Melstone, Montana, and several step-brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held at Neillsville Monday afternoon, Nov. 8 at the Schiller Funeral Home and the Methodist Church, Rev. C. R. Gaylord of Greenwood officiating. He was laid to rest in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Miss Mabel Bishop presided at the piano, accompanied by Mrs. Harold Stabnow and a lady from Neillsville.

I cannot say and I will not say

That he is dead, he is just away.

With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand,

He has wandered into an unknown land,

And left us dreaming how very fair

It needs must be since he lingers there.

And you, oh you who the wildest yearn

For the old time step and the glad return

Think of him as faring on, as dear

In the love of there as the love of here.

Think of him still as the same I say,

He is not dead, he is just away.

Riley Town of Unity Cor.
