Locals

Elmer Hoesly, Mrs. Matt Resong, Louis Seif, and Novie Schroeder spent the weekend at Appleton with the Henry Hoesly family.

Mrs. Fred Seif and son, Franklin, and Mrs. Arthur Schaefer and daughter, Shirley, drove to Marshfield Saturday. Mrs. Omer Deetz returned with them to visit in the Arthur Schaefer home.

Misses Lorraine Kuepper and Edna and Hazel Anderson, Neillsville, and Andrew Rosenberger and Miss Adeline Rosenberger, Alma Center, spent Sunday with the parents of the Anderson girls at Columbus, Wis., and with Albert Rosenberger at Madison.

Miss June Zilisch of Mendota spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Zilisch, returning to her work Monday.

Mayor Henry J. Naedler went to Milwaukee on business Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baer and son, Robert, of Marshfield were guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reinhard, Sunday.

Henry Wallace left Sunday for Cleveland, Ohio, where he will be employed in a canning factory for several months.

The S. G. Patey family this week received a large bag of mixed nuts, grown on the ranch of their sister, Mrs. Hugh Smith, and husband of Yamhill, Oregon. The assortment includes almonds, English walnuts and filberts.

Dr. M. C. Rosekrans, James Musil, D. A. Peterson and John Rude made a trip to Minneapolis today (Thursday).
