(20 SEP 1937) St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) was the scene of a late summer wedding Monday morning, when Miss Marion Jeanne Flagg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Flagg, Greenwood, exchanged marriage vows with Henry K. Weisensel, son of Mr. and Mrs. K. Weisensel, Sun Prairie. The 9 o’clock nuptial mass was celebrated by the Rev. J.J. Novak. Miss Marjorie Flagg and Ervin Tuschen were the couple’s only attendants. White satin was worn by the bride, who carried a prayer book and bouquet of yellow and white gladioli. The bridesmaid was attired in green taffeta with yellow hat and slippers. Her bouquet was of assorted asters. About 40 immediate relatives and intimate friends were entertained at a reception at the home of the bride’s parents after the ceremony. Breakfast and dinner were served, with covers laid for 40. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. K. Weisensel and children, Alma and Eugene, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weisensel, Mr. and Mrs. A. Weisensel, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lesar, A. Gemindes, and Ervin Tuschen, all of Sun Prairie; Mr. and Mrs. Al Weisensel and daughter, Oconomowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Benesh, Marshall; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rader and Children, Ixonia; Miss Martha Weisensel, Oconomowoc; Mr. and Mrs. John Pichel and son, Don, Johnson Creek; Mrs. N. Nimm and daughter, Evelyn, Watertown; Miss Rose Schuh, Waterloo. The occasion was also the 39th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weisensel, uncle and aunt of the groom. Mr. Weisensel and his bride left on a week’s wedding trip to South Dakota. After Oct. 1 they will be at home to friends at Columbus, Wis., near Sun Prairie, where the groom is engaged in farming. |
