St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church in Chicago was the scene of a wedding of interest to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) residents on June 4, 1938 at 3 p.m., when marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Josephine Kaltinger and Stanley Mikottis, both of Chicago, with the Rev. Fr. Collins officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger, Willard, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mikottis, Greenwood.

White satin, designed with a long train, was worn by the bride, whose long white veil was held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies.

Miss Pearl Macoski, maid of honor, was attired in yellow chiffon with accessories to match, and carried a bouquet of talisman roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Martha Mikottis, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Louis Kaltinger, sister of the bride, wore floor length gowns of aqua chiffon, and carried arm bouquets of yellow tea roses.

Dorothy Fleischhacker, who served as flower girl, was dressed in an aqua colored frock of net and carried yellow tea roses.

John Kaltinger and Tony Oblock attended the bridegroom.

Following the ceremony a reception for 40 guests was held at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Michael Fleischhacker, in Chicago. Yellow, white and blue streamers and a large white wedding bell decorated the residence, where a wedding dinner was served.

Guests from out of town included Mrs. Joe Mikottis and daughter, Betty, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger and son, John, and daughter, Lillian, Willard; Miss Hedvic Janezich, Waukegan, and Roselyn Janezich, Glencoe, Ill. The Kaltingers returned to Willard from Chicago Monday, and Mrs. Mikottis and daughter, Betty, remained for a longer visit with relatives and friends. Martha Mikottis will return to Greenwood with her mother.

Mr. Mikottis and his bride are making their home at 1923 N. Alban Av., in Chicago. The bridegroom is employed as a turret lath operator for the Cyrus Shank Company of Chicago.
