Wearing a white taffeta princess style gown with a veil caught to a headdress of satin ribbon, Miss Marian Alice Bredeson became the bride of Russell Edward Dunn, son of Mrs. Viola Dunn, Babcock, and Albert Dunn, Eaton (Clark Co., Wis.), at 8 o’clock on the evening of Sept. 12, 1940.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A.J. Abbott in a candlelight service before an altar banked with flowers at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bredeson, Greenwood. The bride carried a bouquet of pink asters and white chrysanthemums.

Bonnie Mae Bredeson, sister of the bride, selected a powder blue gown, with which she wore white accessories. Her corsage was fashioned of white roses and gladioli. Howard William Dunn, the groom’s brother, served as best man.

Musice for the occasion was furnished by Mrs. Merrill Dunn, who played Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March,” and Merrill Dunn, who sang “I Love Your Truly.”

Following a wedding luncheon, the bride and groom left for a resort north of Chippewa. They will be at home after Wednesday on a farm southeast of Greenwood.

Both Mr. an Mrs. Dunn attended the high school at Greenwood and were graduated in 1938.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. T.R. Howard, Sparta, Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Benedict and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Draper, all of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. John Kees, Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Anderson and son, Clayton, and Miss Dorothy Peterson, all of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bredeson and son, Altoona, Mrs. John Stanton, Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dunn and granddaughter, Wis. Rapids, and Mrs. Velton Styles, Babcock.
