Surnames: HENDRICKSON POPPE DUSSO HORN ----- Source: : Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wis.) 05/27/1943 ----- Poppe, Mayvin (22 MAY 1943) Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Mayvin Poppe, Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. George Poppe, Greenwood, to Arthur Hendrickson, Town of Warner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hendrickson, Greenwood, in a ceremony performed by the Rev. B.M. Fresenborg, in the parsonage of the Reformed Church at Greenwood at 2 p.m., May 22, 1943. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dusso, brother-in-law and sister of the groom, and Miss Violet and Herbert Horn, cousins of the bride. The bride was attired in a taffeta and marquisette gown, over which fell her fingertip veil caught to a seed pearl headdress. Carnations and sweet peas were arranged in her bouquet. Mrs. Dusso and Miss Horn wore peach and blue organza frocks and corsages of carnations and daisies. A wedding supper, served to 60 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, decorated with peach, blue and white streamers, followed the ceremony. That evening a dance was held at the Merry Ol’ Gardens, after which the bridal couple left for northern Wisconsin on their honeymoon. Mrs. Hendrickson, who was graduated from the Greenwood High School with the class of ’38, attended the Spencerian Business College and for the past two years has been employed by the Clark County Welfare Dept. in Neillsville. The groom is engaged in farming. |
