(9 NOV 1946) Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the rectory of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Edward O. Wehrman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Wehrman, Greenwood, claimed as his bride, Anna Barbara Valicevac, Greenwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Messa, Chicago, Ill. The Rev. John Novak officiated. Attendants were the bride’s sister and brother, Mildred and Frank Messa, Chicago. For her wedding, the bride wore a white satin gown designed with a marquisette yoke embroidered with pearls. The full skirt extended into a long chapel train. A pearl crown held her fingertip veil of illusion and she carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums. Her gold necklace was a gift from the bridegroom. The maid of honor was attired in a purple velveteen frock made with a tight bodice and full skirt. She wore curled white ostrich tips in her hair and carried white mums. After the ceremony, supper was served at the home of the bride’s sister, decorated with pink and white streamers. A four tier wedding cake centered the table. That evening a dance was given at the Beaver Town Hall. After a brief honeymoon in Milwaukee and Chicago, the couple are now at home to friends on route 1 near Greenwood. They are residing with the groom’s parents. Mrs. Wehrman was graduated from the Harrison High School in Chicago and had been employed at the Greenwood Locker plant. Among the guests were Mrs. Louis Messa, Frank Messa, Miss Mildred Messa, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wehrman and son, Eugene, Sussex; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voss, Waukesha; Carl Krause, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bass, Mrs. Tillie Bass, Granton. |
