Miss Elaine Florence Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Jackson, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and William Glen Zilk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zilk, Neillsville, exchanged wedding vows in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Neillsville, May 22, 1947, at 9 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Pritzl performed the ceremony before the altar adorned with pink and white roses, and the church choir sang.

The bride’s dress of white slipper satin was embroidered down the front with seed pearls and her long veil, edged with lace was caught to a seed pearl headdress. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses tied with white satin ribbon and curled plumes.

Misses Marjorie and Carole Jackson were attendants for their sister. They were attired in aqua and pink taffeta frocks, matching veils, and elbow-length gloves, and carried colonial bouquets tied with contrasting ribbon.

Joe Zilk Jr. and Francis Zilk attended their brother.

A wedding breakfast and reception were held at the Jackson home after the ceremony. Approximately 100 guests attended. Pin, white, and blue streamers interspersed with white wedding bells decorated the residence.

Mrs. Zilk was graduated from the Greenwood High School with the class of 1941 and from the Antigo Business College in 1944. Mr. Zilk, a graduate of the Neillsville High School, attended the University of Wisconsin and St. Joseph’s College at Collegeville, Ind., before entering military service. He spent 39 months on overseas duty, was granted a discharge in March 1946, and is employed now at the Zilk Villa at Neillsville. Mrs. Zilk has been employed by the National Farm Loan at Greenwood for the past 2 ½ years.

After June 1 they will reside at Neillsville.

Guests included Mr. and Mrs. James Redgren, Menomonie; Mrs. Carl Jessen and son, Theodore, Tomah; Mr. and Mrs. .Alvin Jackson, Tunnel City; Mrs. Henry Ruland, Milwaukee; Mrs. Metz, Stetsonville; Mrs. Lee Holburn, Mrs. John Baumer, Joe Baumer, Marshfield; Harry Behrens, Madison.
