Surnames: SORENSON HEGENBARTH WUETHRICH NISSEN ----- Source: : Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wis.) 10/??/1947 ----- Hegenbarth, Minerva (18 OCT 1947) Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sorenson, who were married at the United Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Saturday, Oct. 18, 1947, are making their home at 1083 N. 47th St., Milwaukee. The Rev. T.M. Nelson read the nuptial service for the former Miss Minerva Hegenbarth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hegenbarth, Greenwood, and Mr. Sorenson, whose father is Julius Sorenson, Owen. The bridegroom’s sister, Miss Ferne Sorenson, was maid of honor, and his twin brother, Donovan, served as best man. The bridal party also included two sisters of the bride, Leona and Catherine, as bridesmaids; Diane and Dawn Wuethrich as flower girls; Douglas Sorenson, brother of the bride, and Clark Nissen, as ushers. The bride wore an entrained rayon marquisette gown. Her finger-tip veil, edged in lace, fell from a heart shaped headdress of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white daisies. The maid of honor was dressed in blue and the bridesmaids in pink and yellow, respectively. They wore matching headdresses. Miss Sorenson carried a powder puff bouquet of pink carnations. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were of yellow and white chrysanthemums. The flower girls wore blue formals and carried miniature bouquets. Dinner was served to 80 guests in the church parlors and a reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs. Sorenson, a graduate of the Greenwood High School, is employed at Schuster’s Department Store, Milwaukee. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Owen High School. He is a veteran of six years’ service in the Army and is now employed by the General Electric Supply Corp., Milwaukee. Those from away who attended the wedding included: Mr. and Mrs. Everett Peterson and family, Glenwood City; Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Neilson and family, and Miss Ruth Olson, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kouhl and Beatrice, Jennings Hegenbarth, and Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Hegenbarth, Rice Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Royal Thompson and family, Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dahl, LaCrosse; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Endicott and family, Mrs. Lewis Running and Mae, and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Olson, Viroqua; Mrs. O.M. Bronson and family, Cashton; Mrs. Carl Fegre and Mrs. Roy Schnapp, Rushford, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hilts and Barbara, the Rev. and Mrs. Glick, Mrs. Robert Nissen, Miss Clara Peterson, Mrs. Arthur Thompson and daughters, Mrs. Theodore Thompson, Mrs. L. E. Bulgrin. |
