----- Behrens, Edith H. (21 NOV 1947)

Now on a honeymoon at Bear Lake are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Leroy Warner who were married by the Rev. Theodore M. Nelson at United Lutheran Church, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Friday, Nov 21, 1947.

The former Miss Edith Hazel Behrens, Greenwood, chose a white dressmaker suit for her wedding costume. It was styled with a ballerina skirt and short jacket with silver buttons down the front and on the pockets. A wine colored felt hat with pink illusion veiling and wine colored shoes and gloves lent a contrast to the ensemble. A corsage of white carnations was pinned to her shoulder.

The groom’s sister, Miss Norma Warner, was maid of honor in a dressmaker gabardine suit of forest green. Her flowers were also white carnations. The bride’s brother, Neill Behrens, Madison, acted as best man.

Relatives and friends attended a reception in the church basement following the ceremony.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Greenwood High School. After Dec. 1, they will make their home at Greenwood where Mr. Warner is employed at the Farmer’s Store.

Out of town guests who were present for the ceremony included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schmit and daughter, Sally, Suring; Mrs. Rex Battenberg, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. James Redgren and daughters, Menomonie; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Jackson, Milwaukee; Dr. and Mrs. A.J. Hertzog and family, Minneapolis; Neil Behrens, Madison.
