Surnames: KOHLNHOFER LA-FERN PAGEL JOHOICK ----- Source: : Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wis.) 06/??/1949 ----- La-Fern, Geraldine (30 MAY 1949) St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, Clark Co., Wis., was the scene of the marriage May 30, 1949, of Miss Geraldine La-Fern, Spencer, and Clayton Edward Kohlnhofer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kohlnhofer, Greenwood. The bride is the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Johoick, Dorchester. Officiating at the 9 a.m. double ring ceremony was the Rev. P.T. Weller. White satin formed the bridal gown. The bodice of which was styled with a high neckline, lace yoke, and long tapering sleeves. The bride wore a full length lace trimmed veil and carried a shower bouquet of red and white roses. Miss Doris Kohlnhofer, nice of the groom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Misses Betty and Delores Pagel, sister of the bride. Yellow, orchid and Nile green gowns, fashioned with high necklines, lace-trimmed yokes, and peplums, were worn by the bridal aides. Their bouquets of carnations and asters matched their respective gowns. Victor Kohlnhofer was best man for his brother. Other attendants of the groom were Frances Kohlnhofer and Joseph Kohlnhofer Jr., also brothers of the groom. Alice Kohlnhofer, nice of the groom, was flower girl in a white satin gown. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses. Norbert Kohlnhofer, nephews of the groom, was ring bearer. Dinner and supper were served to 75 guests at the home of the bride’s aunt and uncle. The bride is a graduate of the Medford High School and was employed at Le Veille Drug Store, Marshfield. Mr. Kohlnhofer is engaged in farming on his parent’s farm at Greenwood. Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Emil Viegutz and family, Miss Regina Meyer, Miss Dorothy Pecke, and Miss Rita Zirngibl, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kapfhamer, Medford; Victor Kohlnhofer and Mrs. Kathryn Schober, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Querin and family, Withee; Miss Mary Ellen Allen, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kettner and family, Menomonie; Mrs. Joseph De Mar and family, Chicago; the Rev. John Pritzl, Neillsville; the Rev. John Novak, and Mr. and Mrs. John Kohlnhofer and family, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Casper Schober, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Schober, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lindner, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Querin, Michigan. |
