Miss Alice M. Franz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto A. Franz, route 4, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Lyle A. Verhulst, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst, also of route 4, Greenwood, were married Saturday, July 9, 1949.

Officiating at the 2 p.m. service at the United Lutheran Church, Greenwood, was the Rev. Theodore M. Nelson.

The bride was gowned in white ninon and her finger-tip veil was caught to a headed crown. She wore a corsage of pink roses and carried a mixed bouquet.

Miss Virginia Joyce Franz, Greenwood, was her sister’s maid of honor. Miss Donna m. Gotter, Loyal, was bridesmaid. The bridal aides were attired in yellow and aqua ninon, respectively, and had matching net and forget-me-not headpieces.

Attending eh groom was his cousin, Richard G. Acker, Greenwood.

A 5 o’clock dinner was served to about 80 relatives and friends and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Later a dance was given at the Silver Dome.

The bride was graduated from Greenwood High School with the class of ’49, and the groom from the same school with the class of ’45.

Mr. Verhulst is engaged in farming on route 4, Greenwood, where the couple will live.

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Verhulst and family, Sheboygan; Mrs. Wilfred Dugre, Milwaukee; Mrs. Selma Gustafson, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Haupt and daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Celen Gotter, Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Luther and daughters, Eau Claire.
