Surnames: VAIE DUNN --------- The Loyal Tribune 10 February 1938 --------- Vaie, June (5 FEB 1938) A high noon nuptial double ring ceremony, February 5, 1938 at the Grace Lutheran church of Eau Claire united in marriage Miss June Vaie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Vaie of Eau Claire and Harold Dunn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dunn of Greenwood. Miss Cornelia Jaeger presided at the organ and Mrs. Nestande sang two appropriate selections during the service. Miss Vaie was attended by Miss Lila Dunn of Greenwood, sister of the groom and Emroy Vaie of Eau Claire, brother of the bride served as groomsman. The bride wore an afternoon dress of black crepe with brocaded jacket with black and white accessories. Her hat was veiled and she wore a shoulder bouquet of Briacliff roses and Roman Hyacinths. The bridesmaid’s dress was of dark aqua crepe with black accessories and wore a shoulder bouquet of Talisman roses. The groom and his attendant wore oxford grey with carnation boutonnieres. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents in Eau Claire for the immediate families. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dunn and Esther Hagenbarth of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Vaie and daughters Olive and Vivian, Conrad Olsen, Charles Stuher and Delores Comeron of Eau Claire. A wedding dance was held in the evening at the Silver Dome Ballroom with a large crowd attending. After Monday, February 7, Mr. and Mrs. Dunn will be at home to friends at 604 Talmadge Street, Eau Claire. The bridegroom is employed at the Tri-State ice cream factory in Eau Claire. |
