Hodd, Dorothy (28 FEB 1937)

Miss Dorothy Hodd, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Hodd of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Harold Bogue, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bogue of Withee, were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Harold E. Johnson, at Clinton, on Sunday, Feb. 28, 1937. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C.H. Pierstorff of Albany.

The young couple were attended by a brother of the bride and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Hodd. Little June Janette Johnson served as ring bearer.

The bride was attractively attired in a gold satin floor length gown, with silver accessorie and carried a bouquet of Jonquils and yellow roses. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Freddie Hodd, wore a maize colored chiffon floor length gown with matching accessories.

The bower was appropriately decorated in silver and gold, banked with ferns and flowers. A delicate wedding bell was a part of the room decorations. The couple marched to the strains of the Bridal chorus from Lohengrin, played by Mrs. George Gerber, a sister of the groom from Watseka, Ill.

The wedding supper was served at the Johnson home to the guests. The table decorations were of silver and gold, and a beautiful wedding cake, in silver and gold served as the centerpiece.

The bride has been at the Johnson home in Clinton for the past two weeks, previous to that being at her home in Withee. Mr. Bogue is employed at Watseka, where the young couple will make their home.

Out-of-town guests were: Mrs. Elizabeth Hodd, Miss Ethel Hodd and Floyd Hodd of Withee; Mrs. Fred Keene and Mrs. George Gerber of Watseka, Ill.; Miss Lola Pierstorff of Whitewater, and little Everett Hodd, Clinton.
