Durst, Vivian (Marriage – 28 Sept. 1940)

Saturday afternoon, September 28, at two o’clock Miss Vivian Durst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Durst of the town of Foster was united in marriage to Henry Schuette of Neillsville. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William A. Baumann in the parsonage of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville. Attending the bridal couple were her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Marg, of Black River Falls.

Miss Durst wore a garnet colored dress and a corsage of pink and white rosebuds and yellow chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid wore a solider boy blue dress with a corsage of pink rosebuds and white chrysanthemums.

A wedding supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents for the bridal party.

The bride is a graduate of the Fairchild High School and of the Milwaukee Beauty School, at Eau Claire.

The groom has employment at Dover, Minn. The young couple left Monday for their new home.

On Sunday a dinner was served in honor of the newlyweds at the home of the bride’s sisters and groom’s brother, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schuette of Levis to the following relatives: Mrs. William Christianson, daughter, Evelyn and sons, Raymond and Frank, of Baraboo; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Christman and daughter, Dorothy, Withee; Martin Schuette of Tomah and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Durst and children of Fairchild.
