In an early ceremony Saturday morning, June 12, 1937, in St. Joseph’s Church, Escanaba, Mich., Miss Hazel Elizabeth Dandoy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand J. Dandoy, 132 S. Roosevelt St., became the bride of Aaron G. Sturgeon, son of Mr. and Mrs. G.I. Sturgeon of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. Edward T. Leary read the services.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a costume suit of natural angel crepe with contrasting accessories and her shoulder corsage was of Johanna Hill roses and painted daisies. Miss Jessie Dandoy, who attended her sister as maid of honor, was dressed in a suit of cornflower blue with a fingertip cape and navy blue accessories, and wore a corsage of Ophelia roses.

Martin J. Hogan, Escanaba, was best man. During the ceremony Miss Lucille Hogan sand Rosewig’s “Ave Maria” and “O Lord I Am Not Worthy.”

A wedding breakfast was served to members of the immediate family at the Sherman Hotel in Escanaba.

Mrs. Sturgeon is a graduate of St. Joseph’s academy and the bridegroom a graduate of the Owen High School and the University of Wisconsin, where he was a member of Kappa Psi fraternity.

After a wedding trip through northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Sturgeon will reside in Wausau where Mr. Sturgeon is sales representative for Eli Lilly and Company.
