(7 SEP 1931) A very attractive wedding ceremony took place at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at 8:30 o’clock Monday morning, Sept. 7th, 1931, at which time Rev. A.M. Muckerheide united in Holy Bonds of Matrimony Miss Elsie Veronica, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Baldeschwiler, to Mr. Haley H. Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hoffman of Janesville. The couple were attended by Miss Margaret Micke, cousin of the bride, and Mr. Raymond Baldeschwiler, brother of the bride. Little Catherine Baldeschwiler, cousin of the bride, acted as flower girl. The bride was attired in a gown of white georgette crepe which had a belt of pearls and rhinestones. She wore a pearl beaded cap effect tulle veil and carried a shower bouquet of shaded tea roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid was gowned in peach colored georgette crepe and wore a maline headband to match, and carried a bouquet of roses and asters. The flower girl was dressed in orchid organdy and carried a basket of assorted flowers. The groom and his attendant wore the conventional blue serge suits. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents where dinner was served to about seventy-five relatives and friends. The rooms were beautifully decorated in white and peach crepe. The out of town guests were Miss Erna Hoffman and Miss Vogel of Milwaukee; Mrs. Mary Pritzl, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pritzl, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Becker and daughter Helen, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Binsfelt, Mr. and Mrs. Kosmos Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schuh and Mrs. John Kocourek and daughter Marie, of Brillion; Joe Anhalt, Harold, Gertrude and Bernadine Pritzl of Cato; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Baldeschwiler and family, and Mr. and Mrs. A. Baldeschwiler of Stanley; Miss Martha Henke of LaCrosse; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kohlnhofer of Greenwood. After the reception the young couple left on a short honeymoon to the home of the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hoffman, at Janesville. |
