Plecity, Florence (20 JUN 1932)

An unusually pretty wedding took place at St. Bernard’s Church on Monday morning, June 20th, when Miss Florence Plecity, daughter of Mr. Rudolph Plecity of the village of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. William Micke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Micke, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A.M. Muckerheide.

The bride was attired in a dress of white satin and Spanish lace and white moiré slippers. Her veil was of tulle, bordered with lace and worn in a cap effect. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies and lots blossoms.

The groom wore the conventional blue suit. The bride was attended by Miss Catherine Plecity and Miss Margaret Micke, sisters of the bride and groom, respectively. They were attired in similar dresses, one of ice blue flat crepe and the other of shell pink flat crepe and hadbands of white wax orange buds. Both wore white mesh gloves. They carried bouquets of roses and carnations.

The groom’s attendants were Eugene Becker of Brillion and Myron Sanders of Marshfield, cousins of the bride and groom.

The flower girl, Patricia Bogumill, wore a long green satin dress and carried a mixed bouquet.

The ring bearer, Jimmie Bogumill, wore long trousers and waist of white satin and carried a pillow of satin and lace.

The wedding couple were honored by one of the largest crowds ever gathered for such an occasion at St. Bernard’s Church.

The house was beautifully decorated in the color scheme of blue, pink and white. The waitresses wore white dresses and heart shaped aprons of crepe paper with headbands to match.

The reception was held at the Anton Micke home, at which approximately one hundred guests attended. The wedding dance was held at Mile-away, the music rendered by Gordon Kent’s Orchestra. A very clever grand march was conducted by Micke Becker of Brillion, uncle of the groom.

Out of town guests who attended were: from Kaukauna, Mr. and Mrs. M.H Nytes, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Micke, Mrs. Wm. Tennessen and Miss Elizabeth Micke; from Brillion were Mrs. Anton Pritzel, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Becker, daughter Nita and son Eugene, Mr. and Mrs. Binsfeldt and daughter, Germanine, Mrs. Wm. Pritzel, Mr. Theo. Pritzel and Mrs. Joe Anholt and daughter, Joan. Others were Rev. John Pritzel of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pritzel of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kohlnhofer of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Art Sanders and family of Marshfield; Mr. Roy Lennie and Dorothy, Lucile and Bernard Missoura of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. John Burke and family of Boyd; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Dvorak and family of Stanley; Mrs. Henry Klauck of Withee, and Miss Pauline Maier of Milwaukee.
