News: Cozy Corners (8 May 1941)
Surnames; Madler, O’Dennell, Lee, Franke, Roehl, Sanger, Lindow, Nelson, Foemmel, Zubin, Happe, Schaeffer, Mundt, Chapel, Davis Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) Thurs., 8 May 1941 Cozy Corners Mrs. Pete Madler came home from Chicago Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Lester O’Dennell and children accompanied her home over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lee were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Ernest Lee home. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Franke and Mrs. Herman Roehl and son, Alvin, were Sunday afternoon callers at the Ernest Sanger home. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lindow called Tuesday evening on Mrs. Ed. Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Foemmel have moved to Chili. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zubin entertained Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zubin and son, Albert Jr., of Minneapolis, Minn., from Friday till Sunday. It looks as if the weather is settled. Most farmers are pretty well along with seeding. The Rev. and Mrs. August Happe of Batavia, Wis., were Thursday afternoon callers at the Albert Lindow home. Mr. and Mrs. Silas Foemmel visited at the Raymond Schaeffer home Sunday. Albert Lindow put his young stock in Mrs. Mundt’s pasture, the former Leo Chapel farm, which he has rented. Wenzel Lee and Alvin Roehl put some in, too. Ethelyn Lindow of Wisconsin Rapids spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Lindow. Arleigh Davis called on Alvin Roehl Sunday evening. School classes Friday with a picnic, Mrs. Alvina Foemmel will be back again in the fall.
