Her only jewelry was a locket, a gift of the groom. Miss Simonson wore aqua organdy and a matching flower in her hair and carried gladioli. The ring bearers were attired in sailor suits. Covers were laid for 49 guests at the supper served at the home of the groom’s parents, decorated in red, white and blue colors, and that evening a wedding dance was held at Jump River Hall. Mrs. Simonson, who attended both the elementary and secondary schools at Glen Flora, had been employed in the shipyards at Tacoma, Wash., before her wedding. The groom reported back to camp Sept. 11. The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy wedded life. |
