(25 NOV 1944) A very pretty fall wedding occurred at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) on Saturday, Nov. 25, 1944 when Miss Bernice E. Braun, Chicago, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.H. Braun of Greenwood, R. 1, became the bride of Kenneth M. White, Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. James White, Greenwood, R. 1, Rev. Aloys Zinthefer officiated. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. John Loos, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, Miss Elaine White, sister of the groom, and Vincent Braun, brother of the bride. The bride wore a white satin gown styled with a long train and her finger tip veil of illusion was caught to a queen Anne crown of pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses and pompoms. Mrs. Loos, as matron of honor, wore a white crepe frock and Miss White wore a brocaded white satin. Bouquets completed their costumes. Fifty guests were served dinner and supper at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony. White streamers were used for decoration. In the evening a wedding dance was held at the Silver Dome Ballroom at Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. White will make their home at 3230 Seminary Av., Chicago, where the groom is employed in war work. His bride has also been employed in Chicago for the past three years. Guests include Jerry Keller, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Moll and daughter, Bernice, Chicago; and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Geiger and children, Dorchester. The Gleaner joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy married life. |
