Lee, Betty (4 JUN 1938)

When Betty Lee, the pretty young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Lee, 525 Elizabeth St., became the bride of Andrew E. Weyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Weyer, Loyal, Wis., Saturday morning, June 4th, she was gowned in white mousseline de soie over taffeta. The dainty frock of floor length had a Peter Pan collar, fitted bodice, full skirt, and short puffed sleeves. Her tulle veil of shoulder length was an over-the-face style fastened with a wreath of white flowers. Her shower bouquet was of pink roses and baby breath.

Peach taffeta was the attire of the maid of honor, Miss Evelyn Kunz, Waukesha. Fashioned with fitted bodice, it also had a full skirt and short puffed sleeves. A bolero jacket and a sash of aqua shade completed the costume. A braided halo combined the colors of peach and aqua. She carried harmonizing flowers. The best man was Richard Weyer, Loyal, Wis., brother of the groom.

The ceremony occurred at St. Joseph’s Catholic church at 8 a. m. with Rev. Father Adolph Klink officiating in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends. Fred Gramann, church organist, provided the music.

A wedding breakfast was served immediately afterward for the immediate families and the bridal party at the Lee home. The white linen table cloth used, was the same one that had been used at the wedding of the bride’s mother and at the weddings of the bride’s two sisters.

The young couple will go to Loyal, Monday, where the groom has his own farm, to make their future home. The bride is a graduate of the local high school. Mrs. G. B. Lee and Mrs. Fred Mertig entertained for the bride recently.
