(Marriage – 12 June 1941) Mr. and Mrs. William Hemp left yesterday morning for Milwaukee where they will attend the wedding of their son, Attorney K. William Hemp, to Miss Margaret Bull of Waukesha, which will take place today, June 12. The bride is an instructor. She had charge of the primary department of the Neenah schools this year. * * * * Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) Thurs., 19 June 1941 Miss Margaret B. Bull, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Bull of Wauwatosa, became the bride of Kearney W. Hemp, son of City Clerk and Mrs. William F. Hemp of Neillsville at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 12th, at the Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church in the city of Milwaukee. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Doris Bull. The groom’s attendant was Attorney Dan C. Sliea of Milwaukee, Mr. Sliea and the groom were classmates and constant companions during the time the groom attended Marquette University. Miss Bull was graduated from the Wauwatosa high school, after which she attended Milwaukee State Teachers College from which she was graduated in 1939, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree. Upon her graduation, Miss Bull taught school at Southfield School, Shreveport, Louisiana, until the last semester, when she taught school at Neenah. Mr. Hemp was graduated from the Neillsville high school in 1933. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University in 1937, and was graduated from the Law School of that institution in 1939. Mr. Hemp is a member of Phi Chi Psi Fraternity, and of Sigma Nu Phi International Legal Fraternity. After his graduation from Law School, Mr. Hemp obtained a position with the Milwaukee Claim Division of the Maryland Casualty Company where he is presently employed as attorney. After a honeymoon strip through Northern Wisconsin and Michigan, the young couple will make their home in Milwaukee at 620 North 17th Street. A wedding dinner was served to 15 members of the immediate families. |
