Jennie, Inez (Marriage – 5 Oct. 1941)

Miss Inez Jennie, Loyal, and Louis Meier, Neillsville were married at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, where the Rev. Langholz performed the double ring ceremony. A dinner was served for 60 guests in the church assembly following the service. The church and assembly were decorated in white, tea rose and blue. The wedding party and guests gathered at the bride’s home where a reception was held in the evening.

The bride, daughter of Mrs. Emile Jennie, Loyal, and Ernest Jennie, Wyocena, was dressed in white satin, seed pearl trimmed, with a train. Her lace trimmed veil was fashioned in train style. She carried a white bible, with showers, a gift for her wedding from the Walther League. She is a graduate of the Loyal High School.

The maid of honor, Miss Helen Meier, wore a colonial style gown in tea rose, with veil to match. Her flowers were pink and white pompons. Larraine Jennie, as bridesmaid, wore a similarly styled dress in blue. Her flowers were pink pompons. Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang, “Oh Promise Me,” and “Under They Wings,” at the church service.

Harold Beyer and Charles Meier, Neillsville, were the gentlemen attendants. Jimmy Meier, son of Arthur Meier, dressed in navy blue, was the ring bearer. Joy Ann Jenni, daughter of Walter Jenni, Marshall, Wis., and Jo Ann Franz, daughter of Mrs. Alfred Franz, Auburndale, dressed in blue and rose, were the flower girls.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meier of Neillsville. He is employed on a farm near Chili, Wis., where the couple will be at home after a short wedding trip north and possibly into Canada.

The out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meier and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Meier and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meier and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Meier and family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meihack and family, Mr. and Mrs. Werner Jenni and family, all of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Meier and family, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Quast and family, Globe; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jenni and family, Marshall, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jenni, Horicon, Wis.; and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Franz, Auburndale.
