Thurs., 6 Nov. 1941 Mary MacMillan, 92, Osberves Her Birthday A group of friends, including Mesdames W. L. Hemphill, William Huntley, E. W. Crosby, and W. A. Campman and Miss Katie Beck, arranged a birthday luncheon for Mrs. Mary MacMillan on Tuesday, it being this grand lady’s ninety-second birthday. Mrs. MacMillan’s daughters, Miss Beatrice, Neillsville, and Mrs. F. B. Wing, Abbotsford, also were present. The anniversary will be further sobered today (Thursday) with a family dinner, which will include Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Wing, Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wing, and their son, John, and Mrs. Wing’s father, C. Patrie, Marshfield. Mrs. MacMillan is the type of woman who is loved by her friends and respected by an entire community. Beautiful, refined, and charitable, she has led a truly exemplary life. When one speaks of her or hers her spoken of it always is with a degree of gentleness for it is so that she impresses one. Class distinctions have never been evident in the life of Mrs. MacMillan. It would appear, rather, that in her estimation, all are above reproach.
