BioM: Schroeder, Anna (1929)
Surnames: SCHROEDER TAUCHEN PEISSIG LINDAU Source: WEEKLY CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 06/14/1929 Schroeder, Anna (12 JUN 1929) Miss Anna Schroeder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schroeder, was united in marriage to Vincent Tauchen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Tauchen, at the Evangelical Peace Church Wednesday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. Bizer officiating. Olga and Amanda Lindau were the bridesmaids and Henry Schroeder and Hebert Scholz were the groom’s attendants. Verna Peissig and Lucille Tauchen were the flower girls. The bride was beautifully attired in white, white georgette crepe gown with lace trimming, a lovely shimmering veil, white hose and pumps and carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and red roses. Her maids wore the dainty colors that add so much to a white costume. Olga wore a soft pretty yellow georgette crepe, while Amanda wore a lustrous green georgette crepe with gold lace, and they both carried shower bouquets of red and white carnations. The flower girls looked sweet and dainty in all white georgette crepe and carried smaller bouquets of snapdragons and May breath, and the gentlemen in their dark suits made a fitting background for this pleasing scene. After the ceremony the wedding party and a large group of relatives and friends repaired to the Schroeder home where a sumptuous wedding dinner was served to more than 50 guests. In the evening a wedding dance was given at Luscher’s Hall, the wedding party attending from 9 till 11, and then came home and had a dandy feed at the Schroeder home. Both Mr. and Mrs. Tauchen are so well known here that we need not try to tell anything about them, for they are young folks of sterling worth and we prophesy for them a fine future. Anna is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schroeder and is a jolly popular young lady and we are glad that she will still…. Vincent is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Tauchen and has a host of friends who are happy to see this union. Mr. and Mrs. Tauchen will live on the home farm and his parents will move into the vacant house on the Will Tauchen farm. The following were guests: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schroeder of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Henkelman and family, Mrs. Mary Henkelman of Merrill, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Piessig and family, Mr. Henry Schroeder of Kouts, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Burke of Ogema, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hoffman of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Tauchen of Milwaukee and the nearby guests were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Luterbach and family, Mrs. M. Luterbach, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scholz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tauchen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Tauchen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jos Tauchen, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Braun and sons, Fred and Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Braun, Mr. and Mrs. F. Lindau and family, Mrs. L.
