(24 JUN 1929) The following write-up of the Hahn-Gutknecht wedding at Eau Claire is taken from the Daily Telegram of June 29, 1929. Miss Janet T. Hahn, daughter of Mrs. Anna Hahn, and Robert W. Gutknecht, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gutknecht of Black River Falls, were married Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock at the home of the bride’s mother, Grand Av. West. The Rev. A.E. Leonard performed the ceremony. Miss Margaret Olson played Mendelssohn’s wedding march as the bridal party assemble and the bride was given in marriage by her uncle, O.E. Hahn of Ortonville, Minn. Preceding the ceremony Miss Florence Olson and Miss Winifred Dunbar sang “I Love Your Truly,” accompanied by Miss Margaret Olson at the piano, and Cecil Hahn playing violin obligate. The bride wore a gown of white satin and lace made in period style with a veil in cap effect. She carried an arm bouquet of roses, carnations and baby’s breach. She was attended by Miss Florence Fennessey wearing rose chiffon and a corsage of pink rosebuds. Cecil Hahn, brother of the bride, acted as best man. Mrs. Anna C. Hahn, mother of the bride, wore bonnet blue suede crepe with a scarf of black net. The bridegroom’s mother wore beige crepe. After the ceremony a six o’clock dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Gutknecht drove to a northern lake for their wedding trip. Our of town guests included: Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Gutknecht, Ardyce, Harlan and Roland Gutknecht of Black River Fall, Wis.; Mrs. Fred Gutwasser of Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. John J. Schefsick of Abbotsford; O.E. Hahn and daughter, Marjorie and Doris of Ortonville, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Gutwasser and Mrs. E. Handt of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bowler of Sparta, Wis.; Miss Winifred Dunbar of Arkansaw, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Robbe of Strum, Wis. |
