Oehler, Nellie M. (9 OCT 1929)

Miss Nellie M. Oehler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Oehler, and Mr. Edward Tischendorf, son of Mr. Otto Tischendorf, were united in marriage at Milwaukee, Wednesday, Oct. 9th, 1929, at 9 o’clock, Rev. Robert B. Stansell of the Methodist Church on Wisconsin Av. Officiating.

The bride was attired in a white satin dress shadowed with rhinestones and overlace, tapering in the back, trimmed with a corsage bouquet of lilies of the valley, and wore a long white fan effect veil trimmed with rhinestones, and carrying a bouquet of lilies and roses.

The groom was attired in the conventional blue.

The bridesmaids, Olive Tuttle, sister of the bride, wore a white silk crepe dress and carried a bouquet of roses. Claude Tuttle, brother-in-law of the bride, acting as groomsman, wore a gray suit.

After the ceremony they motored to the Bach Studio where the pictures were taken, then back to the home of the bride’s sister where the wedding dinner was served.

In the afternoon they left for a two day trip to Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) to visit at the parental homes of the bride and groom, where they were given a party at the home of Dewey Oehler at Stetsonville, Thursday evening.

Both are prominent young people of the neighborhood, Edward being raised here and Nellie a graduate of the high school, class of 1928.

Their host of friends join in wishing them joy and happiness in the future.

They left Friday morning for Milwaukee where they will make their home for the winter, and where they will make their home for the winter, and where the groom has employment.
