A very beautiful wedding took place Tuesday morning at nine o’clock at the St. Louis Catholic Church when Miss Catherine Frances Heindl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Heindl, became the bride of Arthur P. Ellenbecker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Ellenbecker, Athens. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul Pitzenberger.

The bride was beautifully attired in a white lace floor length gown with puff sleeves and trimmed with rhinestones. A trailing cap style veil, white satin slippers, and a shower bouquet of carnations and roses completed the ensemble. The maid of honor, Miss Celia Heindl, sister of the bride, wore a pink and white floor length flat crepe gown with lace back and the bridesmaid, Miss Matilda Heindl, another sister, of Milwaukee, wore a green and white flat crepe floor length gown with lace back. Both wore white slippers, gloves, hose and picture hats of white hair braid and carried bouquets of white carnations. The groom wore a dark blue suit; the best man, Wilbur Ellenbecker, a brother of the groom, and attendant, Alfred Ellenbecker, another brother wore dark brown suits. Little Miss Benita Ryan, Leaders, Minn., niece of the groom, who acted as flower girl, was attired in an orchid flat crepe and carried a bouquet similar to the bride’s. Joseph Heindl, brother of the bride, was ring bearer and wore a black velvet suit and carried a red plush cushion for rings.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents with covers for nearly one hundred guests. A reception was held in the afternoon for the immediate friends and relatives and was followed by a wedding supper. The house was tastily decorated with violet, white, pink and green streamers to match the dresses of the bridal party. In the evening a free wedding dance was given at the Dorchester hall with an enormous crowd there.

The bride is one of Dorchester’s (Clark Co., Wis.) most popular young ladies and the groom, who recently moved here from Athens, has made many friends in this vicinity who join us in wishing them many years of happiness and prosperity in life’s journey together.

The groom is a farmer by occupation and the happy young couple will be at home immediately to their many friends on the groom’s newly acquired (the rest of my copy was cut off)
