Sat., 12 Aug. 1939 O’Leary, Margaret (Marriage – 5 Aug. 1939) Miss Margaret O’Leary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. O’Leary, was united in holy matrimony with Mr. William Donald Eibergen at 2:00 o’clock on Saturday afternoon, August 5, 1939. The ceremony was performed at the Methodist Church in this village, with the Rev. Robert Osborn officiating. For her wedding the bride wore a gown of white silk, with veil and turi wreath. She carried a colonial bouquet of baby breath, snap dragon and dahlias. The groom wore an oxford grey suit, with a carnation and baby fern in this coat lapel. Miss Nola O’Leary, sister of the bride was maid of honor. She was dressed in a pink net and lace grown. The bride’s maid, Miss Goldie Schmitz, cousin of the groom, was dressed in a long sky blue taffeta gown. The grooms’ attendant, Alvin Marg, wore a blue serge suit. The flower girl was Shirley Ann Wright, niece of the bride, and she wore a yellow crepe dress and carried a basket of dahlias. The wedding march was played by Miss Edith Simons. Following the ceremony forty guests were entertained at a wedding supper at the home of the bride’s parents. Those from away were: Mrs. M. Eibergen, Mr. and Mrs. John Madler, Granton; Mrs. Henry Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson, Millston; Mrs. John Regolo and son, St. Pau; Miss Phylis Bortz, LaCrosse; Mr. and Mrs. P. Dederick, Mr. and Mrs. Ben. Wright, Milwaukee; Alvin Marg, Lynn; Miss Goldie Schmitz, Chili; Miss Nola O’Leary, Two Rivers. The young couple entertained their friends at a wedding dance Monday. They will make their home on a farm at Granton. |
