(Marriage - 11 Oct. 1946) Friday afternoon at 3:00, Miss Vivian B. Dallman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dallman, Colby, became the bride of Roy F. Martens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Martens, of Spencer, in a wedding ceremony read in the Zion Lutheran Church at Colby by the Rev. O. Hoffman. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Olson, Granton, brother-in-law and sister of the groom. The bride wore a Hunters green crepe suit-dress trimmed with gold nailheads and a small black sequin hat. Her corsage was an arrangement of yellow roses. Mrs. Olson was attired in a black wool crepe taileur trimmed in white with which she wore black accessories and a corsage of red roses. Only immediate relatives and closest friends witnessed the quiet ceremony. At 6:30 a wedding supper was served to 30 guests at the Dallman home decorated with pink, white and blue streamers centered with a large wedding bell. A three tier wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom ornament formed the centerpiece at the table. In the evening a dance was given at Walters pavilion. Mrs. Martens was graduated from the Unity High School with the class of 1944 and prior to her marriage was employed at the Security Bank at Colby. Mr. Martens is employed by the Northwest Distributing Company at Colby, where they will reside. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Grover and Allen, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olson, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Olson and Bobbie, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Martens, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hebert, Spencer; Fred Dallman, Riplinger; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Binning and LeRoy, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Dallman, Colby. |
