Wis.) 06/13/1947 Lenhard, Elvira Ann (Marriage - 7 Jun. 1947) Kilty – Goelden Elvira Ann Goelden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Lenhard, Athens, exchanged wedding vows with Robert Ray Kilty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kilty, Unity, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, June 7, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Alfred Olson performing the ceremony. Miss Joyce Pearl Paul, Abbotsford, was the maid of honor, and she chose a blue suit with white and pink accessories. Her corsage was made of roses and lily of the valley. The bride wore a grey beige suit with white and blue accessories, and had a corsage of red roses and lily of the valley. Leon Arton Reckner, Stratford, was the best man. The bride’s mother wore a gray two-piece dress with white accessories, and had a corsage, while the groom’s mother wore a gray flowered jersey with navy accessories and a corsage. Immediate relatives were entertained at a supper at 1 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents. About 75 people attended. The house was decorated in pink, blue and white streamers, with a white bell in the center of the room. A dance was held at the Trianon Ballroom in the evening. The bride and groom will be in Northern Wisconsin for one week before returning to take up residence at the home of the groom’s parents at Unity on June 15th. The bride attended Abbotsford High School for two years. The occupation of the groom is farming. Out of town guests who attended the wedding were Mrs. Fred Ewald, Mrs. Victor Madson, and Edward Madson, Detroit, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Abe L. Streide, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Streibe and son, Mrs. Ethel Blake and Nancy, and Mr. Kenneth Strebe, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Strebe and family, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. William Kilty, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gotchalk and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Madson, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johnson, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kilty and family; Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Goelden, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Ida Lenhard, Athens. The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life. |
