Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Wagner of St. Peter, Wis., became the bride of Pvt. Donald F. Colby, son of Mrs. Lucy Colby of Unity, in a wedding ceremony read by the Rev. Nicholas B. Beschta in St. Mary’s Catholic church at Colby at 9 a.m. Aug. 30. Attendants were Mrs. Victor Braun, a sister of the bride, Mrs. John Peters, a sister of the groom, and Lawrence Wagner, a brother of the bride. Carrying a prayerbook showered with bouvandia, and wearing a corsage of red roses with her brown dress, the bride approached the altar accompanied by her attendants. A brown hat and accessories completed her attire. Mrs. Braun wore a royal blue frock and Mrs. Peters was attired in a powder blue dress. Both completed their attire with brown accessories and carried pink asters arranged in colonial bouquets. Following the ceremony dinner was served to 100 guests at the Wagner home decorated in red, white and blue. Later the couple left for northern Wisconsin on a honeymoon. Guests from away included Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lynn, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Eckes, Mrs. Lucy Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Salter of Unity. |
