Rakita, Jenny (25 JUN 1933)

A very beautiful wedding occurred at the Avenue Temple, Milwaukee, Sunday afternoon, June 25, 1933, when Miss Jenny Rakita, daughter of Mrs. M. Rakita, Milwaukee, became the bride of George Ugoretz, Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ugoretz, Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.). The ceremony held at 2:30 was performed by the Rabi Hirsch.

The bride was attired in a white crepe gown with ruffled white net cape, hat and short veil, and carried a bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath. Her bridesmaid, Miss Bessie Rakita, wore a yellow chiffon gown with yellow picture hat and accessories and carried a bouquet of yellow roses and baby’s breath. The groom and his attendant, John Ugoretz, wore tuxedos.

Following the wedding a reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother from 1 to 5 o’clock for the bridal party and immediate relatives. Covers were laid for 50 guests. In the evening from 7 to 10 o’clock a reception was held for the many friends and relatives of the happy couple, with about 300 guests in attendance. The home was tastily decorated with cut flowers.

The newlyweds left the following day for Eagle River to spend a week vacationing before returning to Milwaukee where they will make their future home. The groom is employed there in a fruit store.

The many Dorchester friends congratulate George on his choice and join us in wishing both of them many years of happiness and prosperity.

Out of town guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ugoretz and family, Dorchester, Mr. and Mrs. Benn Seamon and family, Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Berman, New Brunswick, N.J. and Mr. and Mrs. J. Garber and family, Wis. Rapids.

Mrs. S. Ugoretz and daughter, eva, arrived home yesterday after a week’s visit with relatives at Milwaukee.
