Grammer, Margaret (Sellung) (24 Oct 1912 – 15 Apr 2007)

Margaret Grammer, 94, Abbotsford, died Sunday, April 15th, 2007 at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

Visitation will be at the Marina Funeral Home in Abbotsford on Wednesday, April 18th, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19th, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford with Fr. Paul Gitter presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Colby.

Pallbearers will be Ben and Brian Weideman, Eli Felts, Adam Laski, Andrew Konieczny and Miles German.

Margaret was born October 24th, 1912, in Dana, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Frank and Ina (Kroeplin) Sellung.

She received her early education in Manhattan, MT. The family later moved to Colby where she attended school and then the Milwaukee Vocational School.

Margaret and Theodore Grammer were united in marriage June 7th, 1933, In Milwaukee where she worked as a housekeeper. They moved to the Town of Frankfurt where they farmed for 29 years. Margaret then lived in Abbotsford the past 25 years.

She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic, Church. Margaret enjoyed playing bingo and canasta.

Margaret is survived by Beverly Peissig, Wausau, Mary Dona German, Curtiss, Richard (Janice) Grammer, Colby and Dennis Grammer, Weston; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Theodore Grammer and five sisters.

Maurina Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
