Hefty, Freda (Marriage – 28 Oct. 1936)

Miss Freda Hefty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hefty, of the town of Cleveland, and Mr. Ernest Thur, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudulf Thur, also of the town of Cleveland, were united in marriage at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairchild, Wednesday, October 28, the Rev. Paul Buck officiating in the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a satin gown of Alice blue and white veil. She carried an arm bouquet of tea-roses and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids, Misses Linda and Eldora Thur, cousins of the groom, were attired in pink crepe gowns, with shoulder bouquets of white and pink carnations.

The groom wore a dark blue serge suit, and was attired with a pink carnations, lilies of the valley and fern lapel. The groomsmen, Gordon Thur, brother of the groom, and Fred Hefty, brother of the bride, wore blue suits and lapels of white carnations and fern.
