BioA: Beyer, Mr./Mrs. Martin (54th - 1948) Surnames: BEYER SPEICH JUSTMAN WINKLER BREWER HEBERT ANDERSON Source: MARATHON COUNTY REGISTER (Unity, Clark Co., Wis.) 02/13/1948 Beyer, Mr. / Mrs. Martin (54th – 5 Feb. 1948) Birthday anniversaries and wedding anniversaries are common enough, but a 54th wedding anniversary doesn’t happen every day. Last Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. Martin Beyer were pleasantly surprised by their relatives and friends, who remembered that fifty-four years ago was their wedding day. Mr. and Mrs. Beyer have lived many of the years of their married life on the farm south of town, now operated by their son, John. Mr. Beyer was section foreman for years up until his recent retirement a few years ago. The evening was pleasantly spent with the men playing cards and the ladies visiting. A delicious buffet lunch was served. We wish to extend our congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Beyer and while the years now lead to the sunset, may they be filled with more sunshine and happiness than ever before.
