Obit: Leffel, Louisa #2 (1861 – 1948) Surnames: LEFFEL HOFFMANN DOMER LANGJAHR EWERT HEMPLE ASHEBROOK KABITZ NOVITZKE GALIMOWSKI LUTHER BEZAK FREDRICKSMEIER ENGELMAN SCHROEDER KNITTER DICKMAN SELL SANDGREN Source: MARATHON COUNTY REGISTER (Unity, Clark Co., Wis.) 03/12/1948 Leffel, Louisa (6 Sept. 1861 – 28 Feb. 1948) Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Louisa Leffel, 86, who died as a result of a heart ailment at 11:15 p.m. Friday at the home of her son Herman Leffel. The Rev. Otto Hoffmann, Colby, officiated at the services at the Herman Leffel home where the body lie in state, and at 2 o’clock services at Immanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Domer sang “Nearer My God to Thee” and “Beyond the Sunset” accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Elmer Langjahr. Pallbearers were Melvin, Charles, Myron and Orville Leffel and Harold and Earl Ewert. Flowers were carried by Mrs. Franklin Hemple, Mrs. Edward Ashebrook, Miss Mae Ewert, Mrs. Sash Kabitz, Mrs. Edwin Novitzke, Mrs. Raymond Galimowski, Mrs. Vern Luther, Mrs. Elsie Bezak and Marianna Fredricksmeier. People who came for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Leffel and daughter and Mrs. Raymond Galimowski, Milwaukee; Albert Leffel, Ely, Minnesota; Charles and Norman Leffel, Maple; Mrs. Bertha Engelman, Wm. Engelman and Mr. and Mrs. Gust Schroeder, Tomahawk; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ewert, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Novitzke and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ashebrook, Wausau; Mrs. Della Leffel, Mrs. Franklin Hemple and Henry Leffel and daughter, Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Sash Kabitz, Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Leffel, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Knitter, Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ewert, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Leffel and family, Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Luther, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dickman, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. George Sell and Albert Leffel, Park Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Leffel and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Leffel, Neenah; Mrs. E.
