Obit: Price, Sarah (1883 – 1948) Surnames: PRICE LOUGHEAD FAHLGREN FULLER COOK PEDEN CROSSGROVE NICKEL GARDNER FOELSKE ENGLER Source: MARATHON COUNTY REGISTER (Unity, Clark Co., Wis.) 03/19/1948 Price, Sarah (26 Dec. 1883 – 16 Mar. 1948) Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Georgas Funeral home, Neillsville, for Mrs. W. H. Price, 64, who died at 8 o’clock last Tuesday morning at her home in the Town of Hewitt. Rev. T. F. Fahlgren officiated at the services. The body was taken to Plover, Iowa Friday where services were held at 1:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church and where burial took place. Mrs. Price, the former Sarah Loughead, was born December 26, 1883 in southern Wisconsin and received her education in Iowa and taught in Iowa schools for 15 years. She was married to W. H. Price at Unity on March 15, 1916 and the couple moved to Iowa where they remained 14 years before returning to Clark County in 1930. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are three sons, Charles, Clinton and William, at home; four brothers, Tom and Fred Loughead, Unity; William Loughead, Abbotsford; John Loughead, Whitewater; and three sisters, Mrs. Lyle Fuller, Wausau; Mrs. Raymond Cook, Marathon; and Mrs.Mary Peden, Milwaukee. Among those from out of town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crossgrove and Rodney Cook, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Loughead, and Tommy Loughead, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Len Nickel, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Loughead, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Loughead, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Foelske, all of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Cook, and Warren Cook, Marathon, Mrs. Mayme Peden and Mrs. Charles Engler, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fuller, Lyle Fuller, Jr., and Margie Fuller, all of Wausau. |
