Van Loo, Edith Mrs. (Marriage - Jan. 1949)

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Zimmer, brother and sister-in-law of the groom, at Dorchester, was the scene of the marriage of Mrs. Edith VanLoo, Fond du Lac and John G. Zimmerman, Unity, route 1. The candlelight ceremony was performed by the Rev. Vernon Miller, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Dorchester at 8:00 P.M.

Mrs. Herman Molle, Unity, played Lohengrin’s Wedding march and selections were sung by Rev. and Mrs. Miller.

Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Zimmerman were the couples’ only attendants.

The bride was attired in a royal blue silk dress with black accessories and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. The matron of honor wore a dress of fuchia crepe with black accessories and her corsage was of yellow mums.

Supper was served at the Zimmerman home to the immediate family.

The couple will reside on the farm of the groom at Unity.

The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
