BioM: Molle, Darlene (1949) Surnames: MOLLE PRIEN QUANDT ZIMMERMAN RADTKE Source: MARATHON COUNTY REGISTER (Unity, Clark Co., Wis.) 04/29/1949 Molle, Darlene (Marriage - 20 Apr. 1949) In a 6 o’clock candlelight service Wednesday, April 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger, Miss Darlene Molle became the bride of Eugene Prien. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Molle, Unity, and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Prien, Riplinger. Officiating at the ceremony was the Rev. August Quandt. The bride was gowned in white sheer ninon over satin, fashioned with a long train and lace-edged yoke, Her finger-tip veil was caught to a cornet of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of Easter lilies. Miss Juanita Molle, as her sister’s maid of honor, wore a gown of green moiré taffeta with a matching bonnet, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Mrs. Milton Prien, Spencer, as bridesmaid, was attired in a gown of yellow moiré taffeta, with matching bonnet. Her bouquet was of pink carnations. The groom was attended by his brother, Milton Prien Sr., of Spencer. Miss Paulette Zimmerman, niece of the bride, in a gown of white taffeta, served as flower girl. Richard Radtke, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer. Dinner and supper were served to relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs. Prien is a graduate of Unity High School, and has been a beautician in the Spencer Beauty Shoppe, and Mr. Prien was a graduate of the Colby High School. Following a wedding trip to the southern part of the state, the young couple will make their home in Riplinger where the groom is employed at the Riplinger Box factory. The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life. |
