Editors Times: Local politicians swarm around like bees about their nesting place. Next Tuesday will tell which half of the candidates can afford to set up free smokes.

Last night some fifteen embmers of the order of A. O. U. W., from Neillsville were up here and orgainized a lodg at this place under the name of “Home Protection Lodge, No. 93, A. O. U. W.” Fourteen charter members were initaitated and the following officers were duly elected, as follows:

Four other members were duly elected but were necessarily absent.

A vote of thanks were extended to the Neillsville members by our lodge for their generous aid and presence in organizing our lodge, within the sacred walls of which they will ever find a welcome and the mantle of charity alike fall upon all.

Millie McKenna, and her sister Martha have returned from Canada Miss Nellie has opened a millinery shop in L. W. Larson’s building, where she is ready to receive all her old customers and new ones too.

Mrs. Cloa Rogers, mother of Lewis Rogers, was buried in our church years Saturday last. Consumption has called another victim home.

The loggers with loaded teams and men are going to the woods daily, and the present outlook means good business this winter.

Mrs. Jacob Huntzicker is adding to her millinery stock weekly, and now has a fine display of goods in her line. Miss White is doing dressmaking in the same building, and is ready to fill all orders with neatness and dispatch.

P. M. Stevens has just received another large invoice of whips with which he can fit you out at any price you want from 15 cents to $4. Just go and look at them and be convinced.

The weather holds fine and all Heaven knows we bless the Author of the same for it.

The Greenwood gun club will shoot a match with the Merrillan on their grounds tomorrow, the 4th.
