Editors Times: As it is being quite extensively rumored that Snob breathed his last some time ago, he will remind the readers of the Time of the frailty of rumors, by still claiming an existence.

The money borrowed by our school district from the state, has been received. This being a fact and that the voters of the district are losing interest in school meeting, we have a right to claim the building of the proposed school house as a settled affair.

Mr. Millard, of Fond du Lac, who located at this place a few weeks ago has been very successful in relieving horses and all their ailments, and the owners of horses are fast gaining confidence in him.

Homer Downer had the misfortune to break his leg, one week ago last Tuesday. He and his brother, Noble, had taken a small logging job a mile or two east of their home, where they were building shanties. They had raised the shanty to about the height of a man’s head, when they accidentally let one end of a log drop from the building, which struck Homer on the left leg breaking it between the knee and ankle. Thus he will rest from the work he had just begun with much energy, through the weeks he had expected to do much profitable work.

Thanksgiving passed almost unheeded at this place, with the exception of a few who attended the entertainment given by the Odd Fellows at Neillsville, and a few who attended the ball at Marshfield. Both parties report a grand time.

A very pleasant little dance was given at Maple Works hall last Friday evening. About thirty couples were in attendance and all seemed happy.

At an open meeting of the Good Templars, on the 18th of November, the following officers were installed Joe Marsh, L. D:
