Hartl, Marion Mrs. (Marriage - 18 Feb. 1950)

Mrs. Marion Hartl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pech Sr., of Unity became the bride of Dudley Staves at high noon Saturday. The ceremony was performed at First Epiphany Lutheran Church at Eau Claire with the Rev. Worth officiating.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attired in a blue satin floor length gown and matching veil.

Miss Beverly Staves, maid of honor, sister of the groom, wore a rose taffeta gown and Mrs. Joseph Pech, Jr., sister-in-law of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore a light green taffeta gown. All carried matching bouquets.

The groom was attended by Robert Schultz of Eau Claire and Joe Pech Jr., of Unity. Little Wally Hartl was ringbearer.

After the ceremony a dinner was served to members of the immediate families at the Hotel Edwards. In the evening a dance was given at the IOOF Hall at Alma Center.

Out of town guests attending were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fuller, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pech, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pech, Jr., of Unity.

Mrs. Staves was a graduate of the Unity High School with the class of 1947, and at present is employed at the Eau Claire Insurance and Loan Co.

The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Staves of Humbird, was a graduate of the Humbird High School. He served 3 ½ years with the armed forces in the Pacific area and has since been employed in the Relay Department of the Northern States Power Co. of Eau Claire.

The young couple will be at home to their friends at 715 Bellinger Ave., Eau Claire after March 1st.

The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
