Lang, Eva Jean (Marriage - 22 Apr. 1950)

On Saturday, April 22, 1950 at Grace Methodist Church in Greenwood, Wis., at a 7 P.M. candlelight ceremony, before an altar containing candlebra and gladioli bouquets, Miss Eva Jean Lang, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Lang of Unity, became the bride of Edward A. Henrichs Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Henrichs Sr., Madison, Wis. The Rev. Glick of Owen performed the ceremony.

Mrs. Everett Humke sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Because” accompanied by Mrs. Robert Van Kuren.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar attired in a gown of slipper satin with bodice of chantilly lace designed with long bridal sleeves and mandarin collar with satin covered buttons down the front. Her full skirt featured alternate panels of satin and lace falling into a full court train topped with a veil of silk eng- ? of illusion.

Maid of honor, Carol Frankhauser, of Madison, wore a light blue marquisette designed with dropped bodice, off the shoulder ruffle and a three-tiered skirt. Her jacket was of lace with mandarin collar and she wore lace gauntlet gloves and a matching lace hat.

The bridesmaid, Mrs. William Nourse, Owen, wore blue taffeta with matching lace accessories.

Arthur Henrichs, twin brother of the groom, served as best man, Kermit Lang, brother of the bride was groomsman and Bernal and Donald Lang, brothers of the bride, were ushers.

The bride’s mother wore a black and rose silk print with matching accessories, The mother of the groom wore navy blue with matching accessories, Both wore corsages.

A wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Stewart of Greenwood with eighty-five in attendance. A feature was the wedding cake decorated with a bride doll dressed like the bride.

The young couple took a wedding trip to Washington D.C. The bride’s traveling costume was of navy and white silk crepe with navy accessories with a rose corsage. They will be at home at 2539 Fairfield Place, Madison, where the bride has been employed as a secretary at Wolff, Kubly and Hinsig Co., where the groom is also employed as appliance man.

The bride is a graduate of the Unity High School.
