Higby, Charles (1900 – 20 May 1950)

Charles Higby, 49, was taken ill at his home Saturday evening and died Monday afternoon at 1:15 at St. Joseph’s Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage.

The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the Lulloff Funeral Home and at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church with the Rev. F. J. Smith officiating.

Charles Higby lived in this vicinity his entire life. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Gladys Fehl, Wausau and three brothers, Floyd and Frank of Martinez, California and Arthur of Chicago.

Pallbearers were Tom Loughead, Fred Loughead, Ray Binning, B. W. Mabbott, Arvid Talcott and Mollen Talcott.

Mrs. Rodney Fuller sang “In The Garden” and “What a Friend We Have In Jesus,” accompanied by Mrs. Tom Loughead.

Out of town people attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Stowe and daughter, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Owen Stowe, Stevens Point; Frank Higby, Dixon, Calif.; Floyd Higby, Martinez, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Higby and Mrs. Norman Fehl, Wausau.
