After their marriage in Appleton on April 19, 1900, they took up farming near Curtiss. After living there for 45 years they came to Unity. Nine children were born to them, two of who are deceased. Those living are Mrs. Leonard (Irma) Leamanczyk, Mrs. Walter (Alma) Henn, and Mertin Scheer, Milwaukee; Orlan Scheer, Spencer; Mrs. Joe (Lorinda) Schultz, and Mrs. Linda Stranege, Loyal; and Mrs. Harvey (Hilda) Wittlinger, Curtiss. There are 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The Register joins their local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many more years of happy wedded life together.
